INTERNATIONAL MOTOR SHOW
With an area of 4,000 m2, the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) hosted this event for the first time. After changing its name to the Jakarta Auto Expo in 1989, the exhibition grew significantly. Despite being postponed twice in 1992-1993 and 1997-1999 due to the governments tight monetary policies at the time, the number of participants continued to grow remarkably., which had by then changed its name to Gaikindo Auto Expo. This transformation led to a great success, with the participation of 115 automotive companies.
In 2000, Dyandra Promosindo became the organizer of the professional exhibition, which had by then changed its name to Gaikindo Auto Expo. This transformation led to a great success, with the participation of 115 automotive companies.
In 2006, Gaikindo Auto Expo initiated a new level of car exhibition, which eventually became an international-scale event, in collaboration with OICA (Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs dAutomobiles), which coordinates International Motor Shows worldwide. As a result, on July 21-30, 2006, Gaikindo Auto Expo was transformed into The 14th Indonesian International Motor Show (IIMS).
An extraordinary breakthrough was achieved at the 21st IIMS, held from 19 to 29 September 2013. The event covered an area of 75,101 m2, making IIMS the largest automotive exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region, with total transactions exceeding IDR 4.9 billion.
During the IIMS event in 2021-2022, Dyandra Promosindo adapted to the New Normal situation in the pandemic era by presenting a Hybrid event, which combines an online (virtual) exhibition accessible from anywhere, along with an offline exhibition implementing health protocols. We present IIMS with the theme of Hybrid Automotive Experience.
In 2023, after the pandemic and as the situation gradually improving, IIMS 2023 introduced the tagline "Bringing Opportunity for Automotive Society Together". It provided an open space for collaboration between business players and the automotive community through programs such as Bikers Dakwah, IIMS Award, IIMS Community Experience, IIMS Formula Electric Student Show Off, IIMS Iconic Car, IIMS Push Bike Race, IIMS Satmori & Sunmori, IIMS Seminar & Talkshow, IIMS Special Guest Experience, and more. Additionally, IIMS 2023 integrated the concept of "oto-tainment" by featuring the IIMS Infinite Live stage, which hosted numerous Indonesian musicians, including Rizky Febian feat. Juicy Luicy, Isyana Sarasvati x Deadsquad, Project POP x Alvin Witarsa, Vierratale x Re:Union, Nadin Amizah, Kunto Aji, Ari Lasso, Dewa 19 Feat. Virza, and others.
In 2015 and 2016, IIMS rose once again with "The Essence of Motor Show" theme. Many new elements were introduced at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Jakarta, including car exhibitions, car parts, accessory industries, and other supporting programs. Some of the events program included IIMS Movie Cars, IIMS Military Zone, IIMS Drift Wars, and many more.
In 2017, another significant breakthrough was made by adding a thematic atmosphere that had never been seen before, known as CarNival. It combined the concept of a motor show with the exuberance of a carnival, not only to automotive enthusiasts but also to everyone.
In 2024, Dyandra Promosindo will once again host the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) from February 15th to 25th, 2024. The event will take place at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, utilizing a vast indoor and outdoor area covering 105,000 m2 . With the tagline "Your Infinite Autotainment," IIMS proves that this event is not just a vehicle exhibition but also an extraordinary combination of the captivating automotive world, lively music stages, and a series of impressive and engaging programs.
Various automotive and entertainment programs (autotainment) at IIMS 2024 can be enjoyed by visitors, such as the IIMS track, Skybridge, EV Area, Indoor Water & Display Area, Infinite Live, and Infinite Show. These will feature various attractive performances like the IIMS Crazy Globe and IIMS Offroad Experience, along with a series of shows energized by automotive and motorcycle communities that can trigger the adrenaline of automotive enthusiasts.
